A Grandmother’s Love
Every once in a while, a story comes along that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
Not long ago, a grandmother found us after watching our Shark Tank episode on YouTube. She told us she had tears in her eyes before the video was even over. Within minutes, she had ordered four custom songs — one for each of her beloved grandchildren.
In her message, she shared how deeply she misses them. They live states away, and her heart aches that she can’t be there for every bedtime story, every scraped knee, every “I love you” whispered before sleep. She wanted to give them something that would remind them of her love — a way to help them feel her presence even when she can’t be there in person.
She said this would be “the most special gift” to send to them — a way for her grandbabies to know her better, remember her love for them, and carry a piece of her heart wherever they go.
Her grandchildren ranged from 18 months to 11 years old, and as I read through her notes, I could feel the pride and joy in every word.
Each child had their own little spark:
One was cute and bubbly.
One strong and confident.
One goofy and full of laughter.
One quiet and thoughtful.
We loved hearing about their favorite things — snacking on string cheese and strawberries, playing video games, cooking with Mom, wrestling with Dad, sending letters to Grandma, visiting the zoo, and spending time with friends after school.
We got started right away, carefully matching each child’s song to their unique personality. For the melodies, she let us choose what fit best — we selected Heart Warming Love, Rockin’ Rhythm, Playful Pudding, and Lovely Lullaby (her favorite, since it was featured on Shark Tank!).
When the songs were finished, she wrote to tell us that she cried listening to each one — imagining her grandchildren hearing their special songs for the first time, singing along, smiling, and remembering how loved they are.
Moments like this are what make our work so meaningful.
In a world where gifts come and go, a custom song becomes something lasting — a memory wrapped in melody. It’s a way for a grandmother’s love to cross miles, a way for a child to feel safe, seen, and treasured.
This is why we do what we do: to help families feel connected, no matter the distance. ❤️
